Nuit Blanche in Montreal

First pay, first gift. On Saturday, our mister John offered us the restaurant. A good burger in Baton Rouge!

Then we went to Montreal for the Nuit Blanche Montreal High Lights.
An oasis of fun in our winter sometimes a bit too rigid: The Celebration of Light in Montreal!

Once again, Old Montreal and the Quays of Old Port we were impressed with an expanded lineup of free activities of the most diverse, skating to the fireworks and large outdoor shows.

The apotheosis was the "Nuit Blanche" with no less than 170 mostly free activities and presented on 3 main areas of downtown Montreal. It was all art forms, visual art and dance, as well as magnificent illuminations.

Reheat the sound of techno music (less than 11 anyway!)

Grill sausages and marshmallows

The big slide at Place Jacques Cartier

And presto! Ptite a taffy?

Sorry if some pictures are rather blurry, boyfriend but was not really on her plate. One wonders why. Is it age??

Go, kiss people!

Diversity and historic trails / Aspect of the Protection of woodlands and trails.

To answer questions and concerns addressed to me year after year on the protection of woodlands and trails, take note:

Unless included in a specific area of an urban park, provincial park or nature reserve, no wooded trail is specifically protected. Agricultural areas (green areas), wetlands and recreational areas (golf, cycling) provide some protection by cons.

Unfortunately, like all woods in the metropolitan area, woodlands of Ile Perrot, including those on the hill do not have these statutes and may be dedicated to urban developments. What you have witnessed in recent years. Some plans development previously defined are considered forested, others not, with consequences that we know (losing heritage enclave, cut off lanes, excessive blasting, excessive development in areas that appeared green or vocation acquired , etc.). Although there are patterns of intervention and protection at the metropolitan level, the dream and the reality is quite different. Unfortunately, large areas previously designated to protect, will disappear forever.

way to ensure the sustainability of these areas for future generations, you must be interested in plans. Address your concerns to your elected officials.
