Trail Conditions / December 17, 2010

(an English version Will Follow)

Many trails still in preparation.

The recent cold weather has helped consolidate the surface in flooded areas (# 5, # 7, # 8, # 6). For cons, the thickness ice is insufficient to support the weight of equipment (over 700 pounds). So not a trace of skiing has been made in these trails this week. Next week we should be able to trace the entire network mechanically.

As always with the advent of winter, the trails are overrun with ATVs and snowmobiles. These users will eventually be notified and the paths rebuilt. If your side you can identify them, please let us know.

Prefer west trail # 1, # 2, # 3, # 4, # 11, Sector CNDFatima: # 7 (fir and 7b), # 12.

To monitor the entire network: rocky outcrops and the possibility of water under the snow or thin ice in particular in the non-groomed trails.

Important - Take your icing kit especially if you plan to ski off the groomed trails.

Off-piste skiing: the surrounding fields offer great opportunities, including south of the # 6 to reach the CNDF sector and the Pres.
